New Student Orientation

Welcome to Southwestern Seminary

All new students at the Fort Worth campus are required to attend New Student Orientation. Orientation for all new undergraduate students (those seeking a bachelor’s degree) will be on Tuesday, January 17 in the Riley Center and orientation for graduate students (those seeking a master’s or doctoral degree) will be on Tuesday, January 17 in the Riley Center. Orientation for international students will be on January 10-11. Contact International Student Services for more information.

The goal of new student orientation is to help you get a head start as a student at Southwestern. During orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet Southwestern faculty and staff, get to know other students, and accomplish many of the tasks that will help you make the transition to a Southwestern student. Admission Ambassadors will be available to assist you with your student ID card, parking decals, payment arrangements and campus technology.

Orientation for all undergraduate (bachelor’s) students will begin at 8:45am on Tuesday, January 17. All graduate (master’s and doctoral) students will begin at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 17. See schedule below for details.

We strongly encourage all new students to receive academic advising and register for classes before New Student Orientation. In order to be advised, please contact the Office of Admissions at 1.800.SWBTS.01, and an admissions ambassador will be happy to assist you. If you are unable to be advised before New Student Orientation, an advising session will be available following lunch.

Below is the orientation packet that contains information and forms that will guide you throughout the orientation process.
